Cuong Nguyen Huu
Researcher and Educator in Linh Trung, Vietnam
My great interest toward food science dates back to my early childhood. I was born and raised in a family with two generations of educators. My father held a Master’s degree in Food Science and he is also a mechanical engineer. While giving lectures to me about the function of the machines used in food technology he nurtured my passion to explore the issues that can be improved through food science and engineering. That inspiration encouraged me to choose the food science courses while I was in college. One year after graduation, due to my eminent academic and research background, I was granted a scholarship by a Japanese company to pursue a Master’s degree in Animal Product Processing at Tokyo University of Agriculture (TUA) from 2012 to 2014.
My long-term career goal is to become a leading researcher in the field. In addition, my long-term goal for Vietnam is to develop eco-friendly and economic processes that are not complex and could be applied immediately to Vietnamese conditions.
