Linda Nguyen

Hi there! My name is Linda Nguyen. Welcome to my professional blog.

I'm a first-year journalism student at Ryerson University, located in the heart of downtown Toronto. It's quite the transition from prairies, specifically Saskatoon, where I was born and raised. Despite my nerves, my love for writing, culture and media easily combat these feelings of nervousness.

Currently, my aspirations are to pursue magazine-writing. I generally lean towards opinion/editorial pieces because I appreciate the factual aspects of journalism, but admire the flare of the writer's personality. The voice of the writer projecting from their piece is a quality I aim to master.

To end my first entry on a more lively note, here are a few casual facts about me:

- my favourite colour is green, despite my background being a texturized mustard colour

- I'm an amateur ukelele player

- I'm have a slight obsession with Greek mythology
