The Art of Imperfection and Curiosity
Well, I like to think I'm a perfect blend of not being the best at everything and yet not entirely hopeless either. You could say I'm the living proof that even in the realm of imperfection, there's an art to it. After all, as a Software Engineer, I excel at making errors that even the most seasoned pros might find impressive! (I'm kidding)
In the field of proactivity, I'm somewhat of a connoisseur. My appetite for learning is as insatiable as it is indiscriminate, exploring the wide variety of knowledge across various fields.
Passions Beyond the Code and Philosophy
My passions are as eclectic as my professional endeavors. A fervent reader and software developer by day, I transform into a chess enthusiast by night, navigating the intricate labyrinths of rooks and pawns with the same enthusiasm I apply to debugging code. When the online world gets too much, I feel better by going for a run. I like running on peaceful paths that aren't crowded with city noise.
Language, much like software, is a tool for connection, and I make use of it with a certain flair. Spanish runs through my veins as my mother tongue, while English and Italian dance off my tongue with varying degrees of eloquence.
Over time, I've learned to follow the ideas of Stoicism, not as strict rules but as a way to deal with the ups and downs of life. As Epictetus said, “It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” I try to live by this idea, knowing that even though I can't control everything that happens, I can control how I respond. While Stoicism is a guide for me, I also find inspiration in other philosophies and different ways of thinking that help me grow and understand life from new perspectives.
The Essential Elixir
And, to truly complete the picture, I must confess an unyielding devotion to “mate” – an elixir without which my existence seems scarcely imaginable, much like a programmer without his trusty keyboard.
