Nichelle Hibbler
My name is Nichelle Hibbler. I am from Oak Park Illinois where I graduated from Oak Park River Forest High school.
I am currently a sophomore at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where I am majoring in special education. I knew I wanted to peruse a career in education as early as middle school. While in high school I was able to volunteer in Berwyn Illinois at Jefferson Elementary School for their summer school program. There I worked with students in a special education setting.
For the last year I have had the opportunity to be involved in the Golden Apple Scholar Program. This experience has allowed me to work in classrooms with experienced teachers. Last year I volunteered at Coles Language Academy. I worked in a first grade classroom. I have also done observation hours in the Peoria Public School system at Roosevelt Magnet School.
Currently volunteering in the first/second grade split class at Hyde Park Day school in Chicago Illinois.
