My name is Nhi Ho, but you can call me CEO Ho. I used to be Dr. Ho, but that’s all behind us now. I’m a carefree, bubbly Vietnamese girl who’s just trying to enjoy what life has to offer. One thing about me is that when I dream, I dream big, and when I truly like something, I will devote myself to it. But here’s the thing, I won’t know if I like something unless I try it. To my parents, I’m that one child who constantly wastes their money because I have a tendency of picking things up just to quit. In the past, I’ve taken violin, piano, guitar, ukulele and swim lessons. I ended up quitting each and every single one of those things simply because I got bored of it and realized it wasn’t for me.

Just last Friday, the week of add/drop, I made a life altering decision on changing my major pathway from pre-med to business, hence going from Dr. Ho to CEO Ho. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamt of becoming a doctor to help people. Junior year of high school, I decided to take it one step further and become a doctor without borders to travel and help people who couldn’t afford decent healthcare in third world countries. Even after the end of freshman year at UGA, I was still hopeful. Everything changed this summer when I had more exposure to my sister’s boyfriend who was a very successful entrepreneur. I became more and more intrigued with the idea of business. Suddenly, I started seeing all the pros of the business field and all the cons of the medical field, thus, leading me to my decision.

All in all, I don’t like to think of myself as a quitter, but more as someone who’s just trying to discover herself and explore her options.
