“ Being able to help someone learn something is a talent” Margaret Riel. Everyone can be a teacher but not everyone can teach. To be able to mediate between the content and the learner, one needs to be able to transmit and share the knowledge they have acquired with the learner, and that itself is a talent, which not everyone has.

I am a third-year student majoring in English and Physical Education in one of the Second best Universities in South Africa; Which is the University of Johannesburg. A pedagogical practitioner in the making. I value the importance of education in one's life. Being a teacher gives me the platform to engage with the learners.

My aim is to inspire my learners to be a better vision of themselves. And to guide them every step of the way. Change in society starts in the classroom. It is my duty as a teacher to be the agent of transferring the knowledge I have to my learners. I am a strong believer that the educational system should be structured in a way that allows both the learner and the teacher to participate in the learning and teaching process. The classroom activities should be structured in a way that promotes learner engagement and participation. The teacher should just be a guide to the learner.

I believe that learners should be taught knowledge and skills that will be beneficial in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Hence, my classroom activities a structured in a way that promotes collaboration and in a way that will challenge the learner to think in a critical way.

Not only am I interested in education but I am also interested in fitness, sports (especially cricket), and movies. I like to read novels about historical fiction, fantasies, and mysteries, for example, I have read the novel called War and Peace, written by Leo Tolstoy.
