Nia Juanita Watson

Hi, my name is Nia J. Watson and I am the Recording Secretary for the Lottie B. Heath Youth and Young Adult Auxiliary of the United Missionary Baptist Association. I am 16 years old and I am a member of the First Sharon Baptist Church where our Servant Leader is Deacon Janie Saunders. I am a member of the Youth, Hospitality and Liturgical ministries at my church.
I am a junior at Gramercy Arts HS in Manhattan. My school is a performing arts school and I am a dance major. I am part of the International Baccalaureate program (IB) at my school. As a student in this program, I am currently taking college level courses with an opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits that can be used at many colleges throughout the country. I am looking forward to going to college.
I love to read, listen to music, hang out with my friends, and spend time with my family and most of all I love to dance. I enjoy performing and dancing on stage at school. I also enjoy choreographing dance pieces for school, church and for the children at the after-school program that I work/volunteer at. I love all types of dance, but my passion is liturgical dance. I enjoy praising God through dance. I am a fun loving person and most of all a child of God!
