Ben Nicaudie
IT Director and CIO in Edinburgh, UK
With over 30 years in enterprise IT leadership, I’ve built a career helping global organisations scale, transform, and innovate. Since becoming CIO of Oxford Economics in 2020, I’ve led a technology agenda that has supported a 2x workforce growth. I oversee the digital strategy, operational excellence, and AI-led innovation that ensures we continue to meet expectations as the world’s foremost independent economic advisory firm.
I bring a pragmatic, business-first approach to CIO leadership and passionate about building high-performing teams and empowering experts to succeed. My teams build agile, evolving products that adapt to business and client needs, delivering continuous value and staying ahead of shifting commercial priorities. Recent highlights include introducing innovative new data platforms, enhancing our customer relationship system, delivering a new content service and publishing system, and introducing cutting-edge AI tools that are re-shaping how we work.
Together with a fantastic team of dedicated IT professionals, I ensure the secure, round-the-clock production and publication of subscription-based economic forecast data, quantitative analysis, written content, and scenario modelling software. I’m proud to work alongside such talented, diverse colleagues who make this possible every day. We serve a growing worldwide client base across more than 2,000 international organisations, including blue-chip multinationals, banks, asset managers, governments, central banks, academic institutions and trade associations.
