Nicholas Michael Hallahan, often called Nick Hallahan, has spent most of his life connected to the water. Growing up in Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks, he learned the value of responsibility, respect for machinery, and the discipline needed to handle any vessel safely. What began as simple boating trips evolved into a career built on skill, consistency, and hands-on experience. He is now a USGS 200-ton Captain with more than 15 years of experience operating and maintaining yachts across the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and Caribbean.

Raised by the lake, he naturally understood the water and its challenges. By the time he earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Troy University, his path was already set. After graduation, he moved to Florida and started taking any role that allowed him to be closer to the helm or the engine room. Those early years of learning through work shaped his strong foundation in yachting and maintenance.

Nick Hallahan began his career as a deckhand and later worked as a mate on vessels ranging from 40 to over 100 feet. Through steady growth, he earned his OUPV (six-pack) license, followed by a 200 Ton Master’s license, along with STCW95 Basic Training, Maritime Security Awareness, and several engineering courses. His work includes time aboard well-known yachts such as Better Boat, Blue Eyed Girls, Happy Hour, LUMAR, and Love Life, operating on vessels up to 143 feet.

He is known for being as capable in the engine room as on deck. He performs oil changes, services engines and generators, maintains water makers, and meticulously oversees refits and upgrades. His leadership style reflects accountability, fairness, and open communication, earning trust from both crew and owners. When off duty, he enjoys boating, snorkeling, fishing, off-roading, and volunteering with the Shy Wolf Sanctuary.

With years of experience, technical expertise, and steady professionalism, Nicholas Michael Hallahan continues to build his private and charter yachting career, providing owners with confidence and reliability on every voyage.
