Nicholas Marshall

Hello, I’m Nicholas. I’m former foster child who recently graduated from University of Louisville and Customer Service Representative working for Gannett Company living in Louisville, Kentucky. To let you know about myself and my journey, at a very young age the odds were stacked against me and many people counted me out. Looking for a way out I looked towards education and buried my head in books and fell in contact with two wonderful families who brought and lead me on the good path I'm here on today. One in my middle school, the "Rate's Family" taught me a passion for hard work and also to have a dream. I watched this family work towards getting a farm, this was a dream they wanted and they achieved it. As I reflect now on my time working on that farm I see now the bigger picture and the meaning behind the hard-work and dream for everyone. That a dream and hard work go hand in hand, if you want something you go obtain it. The next family I encountered on my journey was the "Crawford-Houston" family. With this family I learned everyone needs a second chance, to step out of your comfort zone, and do what's right and fighting for it.
