Nicholas Fanelli
Software Engineer in Barueri, Brasil
Hey, people of the world!
I’m a Computer Engineering graduate from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUCC).
I'm originally from Campinas - SP, where I lived most of my life, with my family. Recently, I've moved to Barueri - SP, a neighbour city to São Paulo, where I currently work as trainee at Cielo S.A., the largest electronic payments' acquirer and 5th largest in the entire world. One quite interesting fact about this company is that it is responsible for capturing, processing and liquidating roughly 9% of Brazil's gross national product (GNP) - that is almost US$160 billion that went through its systems in 2014.
Leaving my parents house has made learn more about myself, become more mature, grow more independent and also learn to give in sometimes (since I share an apartament with two work colleagues), which I've promoted to and now see as one of the more important and fundamental virtues in human relationship. I grow everyday living with the guys and we also have a lot of fun together.
When I’m not working or studying something on my own, I like to go out with friends, play sports, play the piano every now and then and I love going to the movies. On vacations, however, when I have a little more free time, I like to travel to meet people and places and learn new cultures.
I live by the mantra "Be the change you want to see in the world." (Mahatma Ghandi)
