Nicholas Manto

Lubbock

Nicholas Manto is a student at Texas Tech University. Planning to graduate in May 2013, he is studying, seeking two degrees from Rawls College of Business in Marketing and Management, as well as a minor from the school of Visual and Performing Arts in Music.

Enthusiastic about Social Media, Nicholas serves as Online Prescience Officer for Tech Marketing Association. Nicholas manages all online operations for the second largest student organization on campus. Since he began the role this semester, Tech Marketing Association has greatly increased the online reach to active members and students outside of the organization that could potentially join in the future. Membership this semester is the highest it has ever been, and the integrated social media campaign led by Nicholas greatly assisted in this vast increase.

Passionate about music, he is actively involved in The Goin' Band from Raiderland, the marching ensemble for the university. He serves in roles as Vice President for the 450 member organization, Trumpet Section Leader for a 70 member section, as well as Drill Instructor. Through these positions he understands all components of the student led organization: administrative, aural, and visual.

As a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Music Service Fraternity, he futher serves the Goin' Band, School of Music, and Lubbock community through worthwhile service opportunities. Acting as Rush Chairman for 2010-2011 in the chapter, he piloted recruitment of potential members, tripling the reach of Kappa Kappa Psi from 20 interested individuals to 60. Nicholas is excited by an ever-evolving culture, and is eager to enter the business environment.
