At Penn State York, I teach first-year composition and multi-major professional writing courses.
Alongside of the profession of teaching, I have been writing some of my own sentences for publication in between grading papers, walking my dog, and playing golf. I also try to lead a life of contemplation and to live in the present moment. Since December 2020, I have meditated every day. My husband and I live on a small farm with one dog, one cat, and two roosters.
Once I retire in less than two months, I plan on spending my days writing, working out, playing with my dog, and planning excursions to sunny locales with my husband.
Core Values: Robust, authentic conversation; the creative process; intellectual curiosity; good friends; good food; physical activity; reading anything; the visual arts; the learning process; professional development; pro-choice activist.
