Nicholas Ramirez

Teacher and Student in Busan, South Korea

Hey there! I'm Nicholas Ramirez. Since February 2021, I've been riding the waves of my English teaching journey in the bustling city of Busan, South Korea. I've been weaving language magic with incredible kids aged 7 to 12 at Poly Korea School's campuses in Dongnae, Gwangjin-gu, Masan, and Hwamyeong.

Picture this: classrooms filled with laughter, a mix of curiosity and excitement as we dive into the world of language. Each campus, from urban Gwangjin-gu to serene Hwamyeong, has its unique charm, making my teaching adventure truly special.

My academic roots led me to Tarleton State University, where I snagged a Bachelor of Arts in English, geeking out in Technical Writing. A Tarleton Vet, I fine-tuned my ESL, Language Teaching, and English skills, setting the stage for my teaching journey.

Currently, on the path of learning, I'm chasing a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems, adding a sprinkle of tech to my teaching repertoire. It's like blending the best of both worlds!

Beyond textbooks, I've earned stripes in mindfulness and yoga for early learners, and I'm your go-to person for making business English engaging. Did I mention I've got an army medic background? Yep, discipline and resilience are my secret weapons in creating an environment where students learn and thrive.

Living the expat life in various Korean nooks has been an eye-opener. It's a cultural kaleidoscope that adds flavor to every lesson. As a foreigner, I bring a fresh perspective to the classroom, making it a rich, engaging space for everyone.

In a nutshell, I'm all about nurturing language skills backed by a mix of education, tech, and a dash of cultural zest. Are you curious how my teaching mojo aligns with your team's goals? Send me a message or an email, and let's chat!
