I coordinate BirdLife International’s marketing activities aimed at securing significant financial support from high level donors based around the world. My work supports the activities of 121 conservation organisations working to save globally threatened wildlife in over 120 countries and territories.

Founder - Conservation Careers
I believe that great conservation is done by great conservationists, and that talented and passionate people deserve the best career opportunities. To achieve this I've launched the only international website dedicated to conservation career and job opportunities.

Previous

Pacific Programme Development Manager - BirdLife International
Working with NGOs in Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palau and Samoa to secure funds for conservation projects. I identify and develop priority projects from concept to funded action - securing over £2,000,000 from Trusts, Foundations, Universities, NGOs and Governments.

Director - British Birds 2000 Ltd.
One of seven Directors of British Birds 2000 Ltd. who owned and managed the century-old avian journal of record. All profits went to charity and I worked in a voluntary capacity to inform the direction of the publication’s development. I attended regular board meetings, managed budgets and projects, and advised on staff issues.

Communications Officer - BirdLife International
Working in the communications team my role was diverse, demanding and exciting. I acted as a communications interface between the work of the Secretariat and wider BirdLife Partnership. The topics I worked on reflected the breadth of our international Partnership: from policy work, to fundraising and conservation action on the ground. I wrote over 200 press releases and news stories, and managed BirdLife’s global website receiving over 1 million visitors per year.

Consultant Ecologist - RPS Group
I led a small team of ecologists undertaking EcIA work for a range of protected species. This involved promoting our services to clients and producing high-standard written reports to tight deadlines
