Hello there, my name is Nick

I’m an aspiring artist striving for the best work possible. Music has encompassed a huge portion of my life, and I always encourage myself to learn new elements in music. Growing up, I found enjoyment in every genre that I listened to, which caused my different tastes in music to go all over the place! Everything from the refined 70s rock with bands like the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, to the cool soul groups of the 60s like Smokey Robinson and the Chi-Lites. Later on in life, I fell heavily into jazz, which freed up my musical tastes even more, and has been my main source of musical inspiration recently.

I predominantly play guitar, but I also have a proficiency in bass and piano. While attending College of the Desert, I was given amazing opportunities to play for faculty events, as well as banquets and fundraising events for local art galleries and airports here in the Coachella Valley. In November of 2019, I was given the incredible opportunity to open up with the jazz combo at College of the Desert for guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque. I still look back on that night as an amazing life accomplishment and use Fareed’s playing that night as a source of inspiration.

With my time now finished at College of the Desert, I have completed my Associates Degree of Music in early 2020 and am now looking to complete my Bachelors of Music at California State University, San Bernardino with an emphasis in music education. Excited for the journeys ahead. Long Live Music!
