Nick Samuel

I am a journalist who has a passion for writing feature stories and shooting/editing compelling videos. I have recently earned my Masters degree from Columbia College and have learned all aspects of reporting such as public affairs reporting, investigative reporting, beat reporting and multimedia journalism.

I'm currently freelance writing for newspapers such as My Suburban Life, The Doings and the Village Free Press. For these publications, I'm reporting and producing videos on board meetings, local events and feature stories.

My goal is to write, report and produce videos for a daily news outlet in the near future. I have great skills with reporting on social media platforms such as Wordpress, Cowbird, Pinterest, Storify and Creativist. I also have great skills with computer programs such as Final Cut Pro X, Final Cut Pro 7 and Adobe Photoshop.
