Nick Compton

My name is Nick Compton, I am a student at the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale. I will graduate in May 2013 with a bachelors degree in radio-television and a minor in marketing. I'm a 21 year old man that has experience in management, customer service, news broadcasting, writing, producing, marketing, and leadership. I've had a few jobs in different areas of the food industry and succeed at each one. Each job has taught me responsibility that has helped me succeed as a student ate SIU.
I am an individual that has a set of skills that separate me from everyone else. I have the ability to work well with any individual or group of individuals in order to create a successful product. My brand began with my first job at the TCBY/Blimpie in Downers Grove, Il during High School. I would run the store with one other individual, I'd split the responsibility for maintaining a orderly work environment, stocking/serving food professionally, handling money, holding a high level of customer service along with many other duties.

This experience taught me responsibility along with punctuality. Which led to jobs I currently hold in College. Besides working at another Blimpie in Carbondale, I also run a concession stand at SIU Football and Basketball games. For each game, I have a new set of volunteers who I train in an hour before each game to properly run each stand with the same standards I held at my previous job.

Specialties

My brand is built on my exceptional ability to lead and work with others utilizing adaptive abilities. However, I also have many other strengths including quick problem solving skills, patience, responsibility, etc. My career will be lead by these abilities that I have worked hard to succeed with at jobs and as a student at SIU.
