Nick Doherty

In 1990, I moved to South East Asia to work and spent nearly 14 years in Thailand and Indonesia. In 1999, while working in Jakarta, Indonesia, I participated in a series of intense self-awareness training programmes based on cognitive & behavioural psychology and, upon completion, worked part time with the training company as a voluntary facilitator for 3.5 years, covering all the training programmes on offer to the public and corporate sector. I then decided to change careers and returned to the UK in November ’03 and trained as a clinical hypnotherapist.

I trained as an Advanced Practitioner and then Postgraduate of clinical hypnosis with Dr. Lyn Bateman PhD, the Life President and Director of Studies at the International Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in 2003, and have been practicing since then.

As a clinical hypnotherapist, I use hypnosis, a safe, easy & non-evasive technique of focused relaxation similar to, but more effective than, meditation to treat clinical conditions as well as enabling people to access their own minds’ capabilities for physical & mental healing. Issues that can be effectively treated with hypnosis range from ‘bad habits’, phobias, pain control, stress, lack of confidence to improvement in most physical ailments.

Experienced also in cognitive-behavioural psychology, life coaching and wellness, I will use my combined skills and knowledge to formulate and deliver an individually-tailored plan to assist you in achieving your goal/s, whatever they may be.

I am passionate about helping my clients achieve fast and long lasting change. So whether your wish is to eradicate an unwanted habit or behaviour, to gain relief from a specific emotional issue, or to simply have more self-confidence to make those all important changes in your life, I can help.

Change can be closer than you think!
