Nick Gulotta has been an effective community organizer, activist, and leader in social justice movements for nearly 15 years. Born and raised in NYC, his roots in activism grew early as a student in where he organized for halal food in cafeterias and the recognition of Eid as a NYC school holiday. While working full time as a student and after graduating from Hunter College, Nick was an organizer and policy adviser for local and national organizations focused on human rights, environmental justice, and voting rights. Nick's career in government began at the NYC City Council where he worked on tenants' rights, immigration issues, and later worked on numerous progressive political campaigns. In 2015, Nick was appointed as the Queens Borough Director for Community Affairs at the Mayor's Office. He later served as Director of Outreach and Organizing for the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs. He currently attends the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
