Nick Gulotta has been a passionate community organizer, activist, and leader in social justice movements for over 10 years. Born and raised in NYC, his roots in activism grew early as a student in public schools where he organized students to call for halal food in cafeterias and the recognition of Eid as a school holiday. While working full time as student and after graduating from CUNY Hunter College, Nick was an organizer and policy advisor for local and national organizations focused on human rights, environmental justice, and voting rights. Nick's career in government began at the NYC City Council where he focused on tenants' rights, immigration issues, and later worked on numerous progressive political campaigns. For the past three years, Nick served as the Queens Borough Director for Community Affairs for @NYCMayor. He is currently the Director of Outreach and Organizing for the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs.
