Hi, my name is Nick Huang.

One aspect of me that I think that is very unique to me is that I like to learn about East Asian culture. I’ve been to several countries but the one country I’ve been to the most is China. With me being the only child that grew up in America and China, I’ve always been interested in my roots. My grandma would always tell me everything about the history of China. Although I didn’t really care when I was young, I’ve learned to appreciate her storytelling as she lived in China when dynasties still existed. She’s almost hitting a hundred soon.

When I was in second grade, I lived in Beijing, China. Ever since then I fell in love with site seeing. I’ve been to numerous provinces and cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen and much much more. After college, I plan on exploring the big country and a lot of other East Asian countries such as Korea and Japan. One of my goals is to live in Tokyo, Japan when I’m older. I find it amazing how similar yet different the languages of Mandarin Chinese and Japanese have.

Although I’m a management information systems major at UGA, I don’t let that stop me from learning what I’m passionate about. I hope to keep exploring my roots after college and gain a better perspective of the world.
