Nick Jones’s performance roots run deep! He has taken the helm of numerous projects, from plays and performance theater productions to films. Though he has harbored a love of performance for all of his life, Jones officially developed his creativity into something especially quirky when his band, Jollyship the Whiz-Bang, blended music, live performance and puppeteering in a fresh and eccentric way. Developing their own brand of entertainment, Jones and his Jollyship crew sought out to revitalize and reshape live music. The result gripped audiences and set the stage for Nick’s own creative process.
Diversely experienced and trained, Nick Jones’s full catalog includes quite the versatile collection of work! Outside of his screenwriting, playwriting and directing experience, he is also a puppeteer. A lifelong love of his, this puppetmaster’s creative mastermind is energized by the wonderfully wacky world of puppets. A unique storytelling opportunity, designing and performing as a puppeteer has offered Jones the ability to capture humanity in a raw, comedic and interesting manner.
