Tylar Nicklis
Hello! My name is Tylar Nicklis. I am college freshman currently studying at East Carolina University. I was born and raised in Cary, North Carolina- a small suburb outside of Raleigh. Although my parents divorced at the age of 5, growing up I always had a large, loving, and supportive family. My dad got remarried to a wonderful woman named Ashley. I have two brothers- Noah, who is 15, and Jaxon, my half-brother, who is 9. I have always been an openminded person in all aspects of my life; as a child tried many different hobbies- including soccer, tennis, and rock-climbing. I loved solving puzzles, arts & crafts, and playing games. From age six until high school, I loved cheerleading. I cheered for pop-warner sports as well as all-star teams, and I was captain of my middle-school cheerleading squad. I attended Green Hope High School, the top public school in the county, where I was on the women's golf team for 3 years and graduated an honor student. While at Green Hope, I got involved with Make-A-Wish and later became the president of the club my Junior and Senior year. Make-A-Wish, and other charity organizations like Miracle League, have helped shape who I am as a person and had a very positive influence on my life. When I am older, I hope to someday be high up in a charity and have the chance to make an impact on other's lives. I have always put academics as a top priority in my life. I plan on majoring in Biology, and am leaning toward becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. When I'm not studying, I'm with my friends. I am an extremely social person who loves meeting new people. I love attending concerts and discovering new music. I hope to be very successful and spend my retirement in a nice home by the water. I love going new places, and dream of one day getting to travel the world with a loved one.
