Nick Nicholson
New York
Nick Nicholson has been studying, selling, and advising collectors of Russian Art since he first visited the Soviet Union over 25 years ago. Nicholson joined Christie's in 1991 as a junior specialist in Continental Furniture and Decorative Arts, and became the New York Specialist in Russian Works of Art in 1994. After leaving Christie's, he served as the curator of "Jewels of the Romanovs" an exhibition of the Russian imperial crown jewels that toured five major American museums. Nicholson has since worked as an advisor in both the fine and decorative art and luxury industries, opening Nicholson Art Advisory in 2008. He is a published author and translator, serves on the board of the Merchant's House Museum, and will happily do a charity auction if you twist his arm.
