Nick Young

Hello World!

My name is Nick Young and I first became interested in programming when I was 15 years old. I started out by learning how to program on TI-83 calculators. I soon followed with classes in high school for Visual Basic, C++, and Java – all of which I took regular and advanced versions of.

When I got out of high school I was seeing a high demand in web development. I had fiddled with HTML a little bit before and thought maybe I could make a site that generated some extra cash off of ads. I took to learning more of HTML and also JavaScript and CSS.

I have been doing web development related projects for about 7 years now and I have been a full-time freelance developer for nearly 3 years. I am passionate about what I do and have adapted to using the technologies required for advancing my career – like PHP and WordPress.

I am a husband and a father of three great children who look up to me in everything I do. With that kind of pressure I need to make sure that I am the best at what I do and am always striving to take it to the next level. Technology is not slowing down, so I have my ticket for the ride.

Outside of freelancing I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids and playing video games of course.
