Nico Macdonald is an educator, teaching on Creative Industries in UK universities including and Entrepreneurship and Innovation on US study abroad programs. He is also an external examiner in art and design education.
He writes on creativity and digital innovation, socio-technical change and progress. He has published numerous papers, book chapters, and books, as well as journalism for national newspapers, magazines and periodicals in the UK and US.

His interests encompass innovation and invention; the visuals arts and design; architecture and urbanism; US political and social history; ethnography and social trends.
He lives in Margate and works locally and in Canterbury and London. He has two grown-up children.
