Nico Koenig

Nico Koenig spent a couple years coordinating local and international volunteers and managing community projects in South Africa and Zambia. Since completing a Masters in Adult Education and Community Development at the University of Toronto, he has been managing multiple roles as community educator, notably founding community organizing projects in Toronto, teaching civic education programs in Chicago and New York and researching innovative post-secondary schools in Sweden.

As Training and Capacity Building Coordinator for the Toronto Drop-in Network, he coordinates and facilitates training for 50 community centres across Toronto working on issues related to the homeless services sector, community engagement and advocacy. Additionally, he is the co-founder the first "Barter for Knowledge" Trade School in Canada, and is currently supporting the regular delivery of accessible adult workshops across Toronto.

He remains focused on creating community learning spaces in every shape and form that he can find.
