Hi. I'm Nicola. I'm a photo-editor-slash-translator-slash- front-end-web-developer.

Originally, my love for movies (geek-alert!) and photography lead me to a career as a photo editor for a couple of German photo agencies, until I found my place with laif agency for photos & reportages. At laif I worked with journalists and photographers across the globe including winners of the Pulitzer Prize and World Press Photo Awards. Here photojournalism became my absolute passion. Enjoying especially the creative process: exchange of ideas and development of visual storytelling in the digital publishing world, which offers so many new possibilities and gets you in touch with all kinds of creative folk.

After relocating to Miami - to finally reunite with my longtime partner - I set new goals for my visual and creative talents, by taking on a freelance career in front-end web development and design - making HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap my own... for now.... while working as a German/English translator on the side, to remain fluent in my native language.

It's all a little crazy right now. That's why I laugh a lot.
