Nicolas Pineda

Student in Colombia

Hello, I’m Nicolas Pineda. I began my professional studies at Santo Tomás University in Villavicencio in the mechanical engineering department. In addition to studying on campus, I participate in various activities in the areas of work and sports.
In terms of work, I am a student promoter for my faculty in the university's Admissions and Marketing department. My job is to support, guide, and promote the university to high school students for undergraduate programs and to professionals for graduate programs. Through my work, I have learned to work under pressure, as part of a team, and to understand and listen, since we are dealing with students who have not yet begun their professional careers and do not have much knowledge of that world.
In terms of sports, I am part of the university volleyball team, which I have represented for two years in a row as a member of the starting lineup. Training with the team has taught me camaraderie, effort, tolerance, and competitive spirit.
Within the field of my studies, I have been able to develop many new skills that I had not previously acquired. Thanks to this, I have been able to perform different jobs as part of my engineering experience. For example, Cymma Group gave me the opportunity to work in an oil drilling field as an industrial safety officer, where I was a supervisor for a full month.
In developing my skills, I have realized that my competitiveness and analytical skills in the field of engineering can stand out and contribute to the position I am assigned. I would love to continue my training with hands-on experience in the field in order to improve and develop new skills that I may not yet have.
Thank you for taking the time to read my presentation. I am available if you have any questions or are interested in my profile.
