Nicola Tudor

Nicola Tudor is an award-winning food blogger from South Wales. Her Welsh-Italian heritage meant a love of food was inevitable and from a young age she enjoyed cooking with her family – making everything from pizza and gnocchi to teisen lap.

Since starting her blog, Cardiff Bites, in 2006 she has written for BBC Olive Magazine and Visit Wales, helped cover the Taste London festival for The Guardian and appeared on BBC Wales' consumer affairs programme, X-Ray.

In 2011, Nicola was named Best Food and Drink Blogger at the Wales Blog Awards organised by Media Wales and also took up a judging role at the Wales the True Taste Awards, organised by the Welsh Government.

Alongside her written work, Nicola has spent the last eight years working in the voluntary sector across a diverse range of projects in South East Wales – including Community Dance, Emergency Response and Employability Skills. In each role, Nicola has used her writing skills to enhance the profile of each organisation and promote their work, specialising in online content.

A passionate supporter of independent shops and keen amateur gardener, Nicola lives in Penarth with her partner Andy and their cat, Dixie.
