Nicole de Gruchy

Nicole is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, Broadcast DJ, TVpresenter and emcee. She sings and records with local bands and does freelance voice and presenting work. Her professional all-round skills and capabilities within these fields over the last fifteen years afford her a versatility that is unique.

She works as a solo artist on the local music circuit in South Africa playing at popular venues, casino’s, hotels and function venues countrywide and most recently singing lead in Wild Coast Suns “Diva’s of Music” She has been signed as an artist to “David Gresham music” and is currently performing solo at venues around Gauteng and managing The Corporation Showband.

Nicole has acted in a variety of infomercials and TV adverts on both South African and international broadcasters and has also voiced many radio adverts and documentaries.
She danced locally and internationally for companies like “Rontel music”, “Sun International”s Steamin”, “La Scala” in Grande Canaria, and performed live for television productions. Nicole worked as a model and acted in feature films for Cannon, New Metro and other South African productions.

TV presenting found Nicole working for SABC’s “TSS Network” and “NNTV” on continuity for some years, TV 1’s travelogue’s “Wish You Were Here”- Tanzania and Kenya, TV 1’s “Today” woman’s magazine program and M-Net’s “Supergirls”. Nicole performed live and recorded lead vocals for TV 1’s “Wish You Were Here” in Kenya, and co-hosted the program with Liz Dick. Nicole most recently emceed.

“The Fever X Games” extreme sports and music festival. She currently works as an emcee for many company’s. Working in Live radio Nicole read news for “SAFM” for some years and worked as “94.7’s” morning news anchor. She hosted Radio Today’s live “Property Power” and the live “ Sunny Side Up Breakfast Show” on RSS.fm

She currently co-hosts the show “Solid Blonde” as a broadcast DJ for Radio Today, MC 90.3 fm in Plettenberg Bay, Knysna 97.0 fm West Coast fm ,Namibia , Wild Coast fm, and Kowie fm.
