Nicole Azu
Digital Media Arts Ba Student in Guildford, United Kingdom
I am a final year Digital Media Arts student at the University of Surrey. My interests range from Post-Production and Cinematography, to Game Design and Animation. I have a key interest in Film and Art Direction.
I have experience filming and editing music videos, adverts, title sequences and abstract work. I have just returned from a placement year at Sanofi, which mostly involved filming and graphic design.
During my second year of Digital Media Arts, I created a third-person video game with Unity, a 3D gaming engine. I designed the environments, character model and programmed the environments to change with each interaction. In addition, I shot and edited an abstract, conceptual video. Focusing on female empowerment, I projected images and videos across several models, and edited the sequence in Premiere Pro.
Most recently, I made an advert for an events app using After Effects, as part of my freelance work.
I would say I’m pretty ambitious – I’m widely interested in all aspects of digital media arts, however I aspire to work as a cinematographer in the film/games industry.
