Nicole Berens

Hi! I’m Nicole, an American living in Illinois who’s recently married to a handsome man named, Chris and new to maintaining a home complete with two mischievous cats; Riley & Berkeley and the cutest goldendoodle you will ever meet, June. Living life in Chicago is unpredictable and full of surprising adventures. Although, I don’t have customary training in writing, I like to dabble in various creative pursuits: party planning, photography, food, decorating, organizing and nevertheless, a flavorsome glass of wine or a warm latte. Occasionally, I find myself jotting down inspiration in the colder months, maybe that’s because they are less busy seeing as summers here in the Chi come and go with the snap of finger or maybe it’s because there is nothing like putting on a comfy sweater along with my boots and placing myself in a cozy coffee shop with a fresh sheet of paper, a pen in right hand, a steamy latté to my left.

Truth and Lattés is about gazing at the world from my view, sketching out how to lead a more authentic, gratifying, courageous life, and enjoying a little espresso along the way.
