Nicole is the Senior Exercise Physiologist and Managing Director of Exercise for Rehabilitation and Health which she established in 2006. She is also the Managing Director of Essendon Physio Group which she established in 2011. Her educational background includes a Master of Applied Science (Exercise Rehabilitation) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement).
Outside of her role as a clinician, Nicole works closely with General Practice, local government and key stakeholder organisations on preventative health projects and is a regular presenter for a number of community and corporate organisations. In addition, she is a Life! program facilitator with Diabetes Victoria and is a member of their new facilitator training program. Nicole also works collaboratively with Diabetes Victoria where she is a regular guest speaker at member events and contributes to education material. She has a current appointment to the Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia’s inaugural Education Committee and is a regular guest on North West FM where she presents on topics related to exercise and health management.
Strongly believing in preventative health care, Nicole is also an experienced Occupational Health Consultant. She collaborates with organisations in the areas of ergonomics, manual handling and pre-employment and works with teams nationally to develop the most suitable interventions for workplaces to minimize risk and identify best practice solutions.
She is a former postgraduate lecturer at Victoria University in the College of Sport and Exercise Science and member of their Industry Advisory Committee.
Ultimately Nicole’s vision is to contribute positively to the Australian Health Care System by working closely with General Practice, Allied Health, local government and key stakeholder organisations to improve accessibility to health care services at a primary care level so to reduce the need for hospital admissions and to empower the community to better manage their individual health.
