Nicole Gould

I am a senior at Towson University majoring in Mass Communications. Writing has always been a dream of mine, especially for a newspaper. I am currently a sports writer for the Universities paper, the Towerlight. To this point I have covered softball (spring 2013), womens soccer (fall 2013) and gymnastics (winter/spring 2013/2014).

Outside of writing for the schools paper, I am currently a javelin thrower for the Tigers. I have been throwing the javelin since my freshman year of highschool and graduate with a State Championship Title.

This past summer (2014) I interned with the Baltimore Orioles Alumni Department. During this time I had the pleasure of meeting a wide variety of people from Orioles Alumni, Al Bumbry, to WBAL-TV Sports Reporter, Gerry Sandusky. It was an incredible experience and I am extremely fortunate to have had that opportunity.

My main goal when I graduate this upcoming spring is to find a job writing for either a newspaper or an online website in regards to sports. I have known since the day I could write that I wanted to be a journalist. Being an athlete just made it that much easier to figure out what I wanted to write exactly, sports.

Go Tigers!
