If there's one thing I love in this world it is food. Nothing gets me going like a fresh margarita pizza or melt in your mouth pulled pork. There's something to say about the perfect hollandaise sauce on your Egg's Benedict or the consistency of those poached eggs. I watch food network on a daily basis and aspire to be on Chopped. One day I hope to own a restaurant with new american cuisine and serve you the best cheeseburger of your life. One might call me a foodie, and that would only bring me pure happiness.
Currently I am a senior studying finance at UMass Amherst. I love my major because it gives me a solid foundation for many career paths. In the next few years, I am hoping to gain managerial experience along with improving my analytical skills as these are two invaluable assets a person can have. I am hoping to obtain a position within a creative company where my ideas and out of the box thinking can flourish.
I am also a very active member in my sorority, Sigma Kappa. I joined freshman year and have held assistant and chair positions. Sigma Kappa allows me to be a part of the close knit Greek community here at UMass. I am constantly involved in philanthropies and campus activities. I recently volunteered for the third year in a row at Walk to End Alzheimer's. This is one of my favorite events and near to my heart. Staying involved in the community is always my goal, and I hope to achieve that after college as well. With any luck, I will reside in Boston after graduation and broaden my community even more.
