Nicole Hui

On the exterior, a university student that is obsessed with photography, writing, travelling, hiking, indie music anything to do with the beach and making short films with my GoPro. On the interior, a girl with a complicated constellation of thoughts and a curious mind, that is trying to put it all into words. I crave adventure, and am currently wandering along the west coast, going to school in Vancouver. I like quotes because I think they speak more about the person who quotes it than the quote itself.

My name is Nicole and this blog is for anyone who wants to listen to me and my stories, and I am beyond excited for you to join me in my journey of understanding more about the lives we lead and footprints we leave on this extraordinary planet. This blog is more intended and relevant towards the youth of this world – from the pre-teens to teenagers, university students and young adults. I cannot wait to hear all your journeys, as we all try to navigate the _ with a fragmentary map and broken compass together. We can share our wisdom, our complicated thoughts, and our stories. We can learn from each other and grow together. Come listen to the lullabies of a free spirited bohemian.

I like to make lists because anyone can write lists, and it is through their simplicity that people can strip down layers of themselves to pour out onto writing. I write lists because they are accessible. They are an easy means and art form for anyone to communicate through. My lists reveal different parts of my being, and attempt to untangle the complicated mess that is me. My writings consist of regrets, experiences, lessons, observations and stories. Some are about love and relationships, some are about coming of age and growing up. Some are about school and adolescence. Some are about traveling and exploring. Some are about finding your place in this world. All unveil parts of my being. These are my stories and maybe you will find parts of them in your own.

All the photos on this blog are taken by me.
