Nicole Junkermann
Tech Investor and Entrepreneur in London, UK
Nicole Junkermann is an entrepreneur and investor with a global investment portfolio spanning venture capital, private equity, real estate and sports and media.
Before completing her studies at Harvard Business School, Nicole co-founded her first business, the online football gaming platform Winamax. Recognising the emerging opportunity at the intersection of sports, media, and technology, she then co-founded Infront Sports & Media, growing the business into one of the world’s leading sports and media rights groups. Nicole led its successful sale to Bridgepoint Capital in 2011 for approximately €650 million. During this period, Nicole also founded United in Sports, a €250 million private equity fund focused on sports and media investments across Asia and Europe.
Following the success of both Infront and UiS, Nicole founded NJF Holdings, her private investment group. Through its venture arm, NJF Capital, she has built a portfolio of more than 40 companies, with a focus on early-stage investments in artificial intelligence, deep tech and life sciences. Notable investments include SpaceX, Rippling and Revolut, as well as Groq, where Nicole was an early and major investor prior to its recent acquisition by Nvidia.
NJF Holdings’ sports and media platform, Gameday, invests in leagues, platforms and technologies shaping the future of global sport. Gameday has made investments with emphasis on scalable commercial, media and fan-engagement models such as LVF in Italy and CayoTV in Spain. Nicole’s vision is for Gameday to drive the future of sports investment by combining the emotional power of sport with the enabling power of technology, at league scale.
Her work is guided by a values-led investment philosophy known as The Human Code. This approach emphasises integrity, fairness, effort and long-term human impact alongside financial performance. In an environment shaped by speed and noise, her focus remains on what endures: people, partnerships, technologies and ideas capable of shaping the future responsibly.
