I left school and went into the workforce for the sole purpose of paying the rent and feeding myself, 15 years later I found myself in a successful career in the property industry. The only problem was that I felt like I was stuck in groundhog day, caught in the perpetual looking forward to Friday grind.
At 33 years old I closed the door on my career, office-hours, cranky customers, high heels and a life of existing instead of living. I left my unintentional career behind in search of what it was I really wanted to do, something I would feel excited to wake up to each day. Part of what that time to explore led me to discover was that being happy and healthy is really the most important thing.
Over the course of a couple years I experiences different jobs and volunteer roles which led me to discover Qigong - a moving mindfulness practice. At first I brought this practice into my daily life for my own personal benefit but quickly I found myself sharing the practice with others. My personal practice led me to training and to become an accredited Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation teacher.
I launched Pursuit of Wellness in 2013 where I help people to create space in their body, mind and spirit through movement and stillness. I am an accredited Qigong and Meditation teacher and holistic health coach, and I also study Yin Yoga and other wellness practices.
At POW we design programs, sessions and classes based on Mindful Movement that help people to make space in their busy lives, to gain more clarity, to become more productive and creative and to increase their physical and mental health.
