Nicole Reynolds

Coordinator of Indigenous Education in Peel District School Board

She:kon! I’m Nicole. I am currently the Coorodinator For Indigenous Education at the Peel District School Board. I have been teaching for 15 years, mostly as a music teacher, before moving into the role of Indigenous Education Lead.

As an Urban Indigneous Educator, I am committed to embedding Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Doing in Being into all aspects of curriculum, while upholding Indigneous Rights at a system level. I believe Indigneous Education is for all.

In my role, I have been working closely with adminstrators in implementing stratagies for Education for Reconciliation. In taking this course, I hope to gain a better understanding of the Principal role as well as to build my capacity to be a leader in the Education system.
