Nicole Ruff

Current junior fashion design student at the University of Delaware looking to break into women’s ready-to-wear, conceptual fashion and sustainable wear.

I'm a South Florida native who hates the cold but willing to bear winter to be able to work and study in the north-east. When not in class, I can be found with my sketchbook daydreaming of fashions of different dimensions. Lover of music and its symbiosis it has with visual art and fashion. I absorb the world around me and let it spill into my work. I want to let my work tell stories of different times and places, and I just record them into clothing.

Hope to one day be able to take the skills I've learned with a love for our planet and be able to focus on sustainable apparel technology. My goal is either to work in fashion forecasting or to develop my own line, as both of these allow me to take what I see from the world around me and focus it into fashion.

On my off time, I work on the executive board of Deltronica, the electronic music organization on campus, where we plan, budget, and organize shows for the school.
