Nicolette, Nikki. 19. NYC resident. College sophomore.

Aspiring actress, songwriter. Music is inspiration. Writing songs is

something that started out as a hobby. I have always had a strong

appreciation for the lyrics of songs I listen to. They make you feel

connected to the world. Whenever there's no one to turn to about

what you are going through, you play that song that speaks to you.

You listen to your life story on constant replay. That is part of what I

want to do. I want to share my experiences, my ideas and feelings

that I express through songwriting with the world. I want to do this

by writing songs for and collaborating with music artists for their hits.

A song is like a diary entry, a creative way of saying how you feel. I

want to be a part of this creative process--to share my ideas and

listen to the ideas of those in the music and entertainment industry.

Acting is the other thing I aspire to do. I want to act for film and

television. I love the idea of portraying various characters; each time,

you are put in a different situation and have the opportunity to

express how you would handle it. I love the idea of stepping outside

your comfort zone, away from circumstances in your own life, and channeling inside yourself once again for your inner voice. I want to be known for my work. The way an actor or actress portrays a role shows how well they can channel these thoughts and put themselves in another's shoes.

The way I see things is you have one life to live and should make the most of it. Do what you want for yourself, make yourself proud. Make sure you leave your footprint just where you want it. Your journey is your story. And be sure to make your dreams a part of the unwritten ending.
