Nicolette Julianna Miller

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications and minor in Art Studio in May 2012 from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. I am currently on the job search hoping to pursue a career in PR or editing/writing. I have always been extremely dedicated to the things in my life I am truly passionate about whether it was captaining my college soccer team or writing for the school newspaper. Last Spring, I traveled to Ireland to study abroad and had the opportunity to play on the University Soccer Team and win a National Championship. Despite the unfamiliarity of a new culture and enviornment, I loved embracing the challenges and making life long friends.

Friends and family would describe me as creative, hard working, and goal-oriented which has led me to be a leader to peers and teammates. My competitve nature has always driven me to do my best and push others around me to do the same. I take pride in my accomplishments on the soccer field, on the track, and in the classroom and I especially enjoy being someone people can look up to and trust.

I have played sports my entire life which have taught me how to be a leader and work hard to achieve my goals. I was part of a Centennial Conference indoor track and field record breaking relay in the 4x800, also winning a gold medal and setting a new Muhlenberg College record which I was also previously held. During my college career, I also held the outdoor 4x800 school record and the Distance Medley Relay School record. As a soccer player, I was one of the Conferences leading scorers in addition to earning All-Conference honors all four years. During that time, my team made it to NCAA's, ended the reigning Conference champions 30 game winning streak, and won the regular season to host the Conference tournament. I also helped out with youth soccer clinics and was a member of a student athlete mentor group. Sports have always been a huge part of my life and I hope to continue incorporating them into my future.

About the time I first picked up a soccer ball, I also picked up a pencil and fell in love with writing. Every birthday present and homework assignment was undoubtedly a story or poem and that passion has only grown into a desired career path which I hope will one day make me successful and happy.
