Nicolette has an extensive experience in the areas of birth, life, and death and is founder of The End of Life Care – a service to care for the living and the dying.
A qualified Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Art Therapy, Nicolette has been published in Kindred Magazine, Compassionate Friends Magazine and Birthplace Magazine and has also been interviewed by the ABC television show The Hungry Beast. Nicolette’s volunteer services have included Bereavement contact for the Perth Multiple Birth association and work as an Art Therapist for SIDS helping run grief workshops.
Nicolette’s deep interest and involvement in the end of life care, death and grief have been from her own personal life experiences. The illnesses and deaths of her brother, mother and father, as well as, miscarriages and the death of her baby daughter Leteisha have enriched her with a caring and respectful approach to the living and dying. She also journeys with the elderly to help them make decisions about their End of Life Care.
Nicolette has a strong spiritual practice which she has consistently undertaken for the past 16years. She has a highly developed sense of ritual and of intuitive healing practices. She has participated in and facilitated groups utilising ritual and Art Therapy. She is also a practising Artist who has exhibited at various community events.
As the founder of The End of Life Care Nicolette believes that the death and dying experience is a rite of passage that transforms us and needs to happen in a safe and respectful environment.
