Nicole Vega
Musician, Teacher, and Artist in Montclair, New Jersey
Nicole Vega is a versatile Chilean violinist whose musical journey began at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile in 2000, later continuing at the Music Conservatory of Universidad Mayor, where she distinguished herself as a member of the Chamber Music Orchestra. In 2012, she represented Chile on the international stage, touring seven European countries—including Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic—with the National Youth Orchestra on the *Tocando Sueños* tour.
Nicole has been selected to participate in renowned international festivals such as Campos do Jordão and FEMUSC (Brazil), the Master Course of Chamber Music at Teatro del Lago (Chile), the Brevard Music Center (North Carolina), and as a Sphinx Ignite Fellow (Detroit). She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Montclair State University in 2021 and completed her Master of Music degree at Florida State University in 2025, where she served as a teaching assistant. Her principal teachers include Holly Huelskamp, Mary Ann Mumm, and Corinne Stillwell.
A passionate advocate of early music, Nicole is a two-time recipient of the Early Music America Workshop Scholarship and has been awarded a fellowship by ARTEK in New York City. Her Baroque violin studies have been guided by renowned specialists Theresa Salomon and Karin Cuéllar. She has also trained in historical performance through distinguished programs such as the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, American Bach Soloists Academy, Oregon Bach Festival, Clarion Collegium Week, Amherst Early Music, Festival de Música Antigua de Medellín, FEMUSC Música Antiga in Brazil, and the Baroque Performance Institute in Cleveland.
Known for her stylistic versatility and musical adaptability, Nicole also performs across genres including classical, pop, and rock. She has shared the stage with prominent artists and bands such as Natalino, Maná, Los Jaivas, and Isabel Pantoja at major events, including the Festival de Viña del Mar.
