My 20 year digital career, originally designing for the web and mobile, has taken me from London to Denver, and now back to Hong Kong, where I grew up as a youth. Along the journey I have enjoyed building, mentoring and managing creative teams, helping to grow agency culture and business with my strategic and creative input and direction.

In our constantly evolving world, business competition used to be fought between companies with good design and not-so-good design. Today, companies with good design will pit themselves against companies who also have good design. This means that competitive advantage will be on internal design leadership, and not just design alone.

As a design leader I like to focus on building collaborative and creative cultures that designers can leverage to produce solutions that meet the business requirements, goals of the customer, and their own creative vision.

As a passionate spokesperson for my craft, I regularly present and chair live speaking engagements, including Marketing Magazine Insights, ClickZ Live, SES and Creative Mornings. I'm also a freelance writer and the founder and partner of a Hong Kong-based sports events company, RaceBase.

In my leisure time I am a passionate and competitive trail and ultra runner, sailor, surfer and snowboarder. I also write and perform music, was a founding editor for Asia's first dedicated trail running magazine, Asia Trail, and organise trail running races and events.
