Niels Nijs is a bridge builder between strategy and execution. Over fifteen years of international IT leadership, from ING and ABN AMRO to the public sector, he has led transformations that stuck: not just new systems, but new ways of working.
His method stays the same wherever he works: unravel the complexity first, connect the right people and ideas, then anchor the change so it holds. Whether the role is programme manager, agile coach, IT manager or IT director, that's the thread running through it.
What energises him most is coaching people and teams, pushing back on the status quo and creating the conditions for talented people to grow, both professionally and personally.
Putting his knowledge to work for society is not a side project for Niels. It's part of why he does this work.
He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and an MBA from Maastricht University. Outside of work: running, and staying curious about what's next.
