Hi, thank you for letting me take the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.

In the winter of 2010 I made a decision to move the manufacturing sector as a tool and die apprentice to pursue my passion for technology, so I applied and was accepted to take the Computer Engineering Technology program at Sheridan College.

For three and a half years I’ve studied and applied computer programming languages such as C, Objective-C, SQL, Java, digital and analog circuits, as well as learning the functions of different operating system such as Windows, Linux and Mac OSX along with project management techniques and systems management for networks.

During this time I’ve had the opportunity to work at co-op position in an IT environment at the Region of Halton. Here I learned how Information Technology operates in the real world and gained experience with customer support and troubleshoot software and hardware issues. I received a high satisfaction rate when I was assisting with customers as well as high closing rate for support tickets.

This experience has grown my passion for computers and technology more than ever and has motivated me to pursue my own special projects. In 2011 I took an old dell that was collecting dust in my basement and transformed it into a home server using openSUSE to act as a file share and media center for my family's network. In 2012 I received a 30" monitor from a friend that wasn't displaying properly anymore and fixed it using reflowing techniques.

This year I've taken the task for my Capstone Project to be a dedicated device, Wi-Fi to FM radio, designed to broadcast onto an FM band an internet radio stream to be changed and controlled remotely by a user. Using OpenWRT, an Arduino microcontroller and several other peripheral devices I’m able to make this device using my skills and project management techniques. These are some of the personal accomplishments I have made in the past few years and I plan on taking more personal projects in the future.

I'm a highly motivated individual that isn't afraid to take on new challenges in the technology world. I'm consistently searching and learning new ways of finding solutions to real world problems and seek new ways of completing tasks.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my story; if you wish to contact me I’m always available to answer any questions.
