Moved to Suffolk from London in 2009 and now live in old Shotley across the river from Felixstowe that played a part in the soundscapes. Particularly with the releases ‘fieldpiano’ and ‘mechanisme’ recorded outside for German labels.
2007 ‘sudvar was an ep that came about from experimenting with garageband a kettle, wine glasses and the human voice. Influenced mostly by Arve Henriksen’s Norweigan landscapes. Some of this was used by the BBC’s Imagine on Sir Richard Rogers.
Meeting Phil Manzanera in 2004 at the foodstore in Queens Park resulted in piano sessions on two of his albums. Phil had suggested recording some work that resulted in ‘stromboli’. This was finished in 2009 and is set for future release.
Meanwhile other releases include ‘rex harrison’; ‘folksy’ with guitar and voice . Having read the Keith Richards biog and intrigued by his detail of open tuning, 8 tunings were used. At the time hired a room in London for small acoustic gigs – lasted no more than 30 minutes and cost only a fiver ! Intimate and fado-esque.
