Nigel Angus

Known personally and professionally as “A&R Nigel”, Nigel Angus aspires and will prove to be much more than just an A&R. Just barely reaching his late twenties, Nigel has already accumulated over 9 years’ experience in “the business”. Born in Nassau, Bahamas to Jamaican parents, Nigel grew up in Jamaica until he migrated to the US with in family in the early 90s. As his Jamaican upbringing gave way to a New York life, Nigel managed to embrace the best of both worlds, instilling that into many of his actions to date. Finding inspiration from Reggae producer Don Corelon and Hip Hop legend/producer Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Nigel set out at a young age to start his career. During his late teen, enjoying the New York party scene, Nigel got his first hand in music, promoting area parties which evolved into booking up & coming local talents as well. As his love for music deepened and recognizing a niche to be filled, Nigel headed to college studying Business Management and Communication Media. Merging his book sense with his work experience, Nigel ventured from the party scene to behind the scenes. Being an on hand worker, Nigel in a few years had amassed the skills of many of his more seasoned peers. Picking up photography skills landed a photoshoots with Ricky Blaze, Hot 24 Seven Magazine,Fahrenheit and inauguration of Senator Malcolm A Smith.Along the way photography lead to videography gaining Nigel small roles in working with video projects like So Serious-Starsky feat Posta Boy, Hit me on the sidekick-Sp & Breeze’s and Fall In love Again- Charly Black all these things, just helped build Nigel’s confidence to step up and achieve much more. By his early 20’s his hard work and tenacity landed a small internship at VP Records as well as becoming the poster child for No Doubt Inc (a non profit organization which contributed to Nigel’s education), head music director at Hot 24Seven Magazine music division, and was a member of the Hip Hop Youth Council while apart of No Doubt Inc head by Jacqueline Denson. Nigel Angus has yet to even reach 25. With his skills set and accolades piling up, “A&R” Nigel Angus, fully emerged.
